Open Studios artist Sylvie Leber has been peering down microscopes since the age of seven and eventually led to a stint doing research at Melbourne Uni. using an electron microscope. Her solo exhibition of paintings and drawings will include the results of looking at plants and animals through her favourite toy: a stereo microscope.

The Western Region Arts Network (WRAN) will be hosting an artists networking event on Wednesday 27 October from 6.30-8.30pm at the Hunt Club Community Arts Centre.
The event will feature guest speaker, Susan Graham, a professional textile artist who has worked closely with Indigenous and multicultural communities around Australia on community cultural development art projects.

An exciting opportunity exists for media and visual artists to exhibit in unique businesses across the City of Hobsons Bay. Art in Public Places is a project coordinated by Hobsons Bay City Council and is three times winner of Australian Business Arts Foundation (AbaF) State award in the Toyota Community category.
A city wide project, Art in Public Places encourages exhibitions and events in businesses and various venues across Hobsons Bay, from Monday 7 March – Sunday 17 April 2011.
